Hi, I’m Tim.
Currently Product @ Jane Street (Equity Options). Previously I worked on vaccine rollout @ Carbon Health, invested @ Rough Draft Ventures, and studied Bioengineering + Economics @ Stanford.
My background spans healthcare, quantitative finance, startups, investing, and product. I’m most interested in the translational pipeline where research breakthroughs get turned into products people use. Most recently I’ve been thinking about robotics, closed loop research, and beneficial applications of frontier models.

What I’m thinking about
Frontier language models have gotten so incredibly good in terms of raw intelligence; there’s so much room to see these models applied to:
- Robotics and physical AI — the natural progression beyond language is clearly the physical world, like the work being done at Physical Intelligence, Skild, Generalist, and Sunday, and many others.
- Closed loop science — automated discovery exponentially increasing the rate of technological breakthroughs, like the work being done at Radical AI and Periodic Labs.
- Beneficial use cases for AI — as applied to global health, clean energy, and poverty, like the work being done at Anthropic Beneficial Deployments.
